What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Pantovola Shop

When purchasing from my shop, your billing and shipping data will be processed by WooCommerce.
This data contains your name, billing address, physical shipping address, email address, phone number and payment details.
This information is collected by Paypal (when using Paypal as your method of payment) or Stripe (when using Credit card payment) in order to make the purchase and provide me with the information I need to fulfill the order you placed.
I do not have access to your payment details apart from your name, billing address, physical address and email address plus phone number. Your name and address is collected for shipping purposes only, your phone number is required in most cases by the courier companies I use to ship your product(s)
I do not use this data and information for any other purposes than order fulfillment and do not share it with third parties other than payment processors.

Contact forms (Blue Moon Club and Blog)

I use Mailchimp for my newsletter The Blue Moon Club and my Blog post email subscriptions.
By subscribing to The Blue Moon Club and/or my Blog,
you give me your consent to send you my occasional newsletter with news and previews of my art, and only what is relevant within this context.
I use double opt-in to make sure that I do have your consent.
Mailchimp securely stores your name and email address you provided me when subscribing,
as well as your IP address.
This data is stored securely by MailChimp to make it possible to email you,
and MailChimp will never share this with third parties.

You can at any time unsubscribe from this list and you have legal access to your own information stored there at any time, make changes to it or delete it.
Unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the Blue Moon or Blog email.
Your data will then be removed from the list.

Your Security

This website uses JetPack to protect you and me against any malware and/or cyber attack. It is regularly and automatically updated and provides the best protection WordPress has to offer.
However, in the unlikely event of a security breach, JetPack will notify me of it and I will then notify those individuals affected by the breach within 72 hours.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:
