No such thing as rest for an obsessed doll maker, there is always so much stitching to be done, so many creatures to be made, so much lace to be used, and so many wings to be sculpted.. Yes, I am working on a new collection of dolls and this is the first piece in the making! A girl holding a hummingbird made entirely of fabric, his wings needle sculpted and his body painted with pale blue and green. Today I am working on one of the final pieces for the ever so secret collection which will be released in October in a someplace special! I can’t wait to share with you the new dolls I have created for this, but will have to be a little patient still In the mean time I will be posting little sneak peaks of their progress though

Lady Vera

This is the beautiful Lady Vera She is a OOAK collectible, unique and entirely hand made textile doll “…I am made of milk and honey.. sticky sweet and soft with sleep…” I hand stitched her body with calico which I dyed using coffee (!!) I then adorned her with antique and vintage lace and crocheted doillies Her legs are embroidered in silver reading: ‘I am made of milk and honey” She is available in my shop
